Last year, we launched an exciting project as part of our annual team day – the construction of a raised bed. This idea arose from the desire to strengthen the sense of community and at the same time make a contribution to sustainability in our company.
The starting signal: The construction of the raised bed
On our team day last year, the employees who wanted to participate in the construction of this project came together. The raised bed was to be built in the outdoor area of our company premises on the green space in the entrance area. Equipped with tools and plenty of motivation, they set to work. The base of our raised bed is made of sturdy wood, which the participants carefully cut and assembled. Each team member was able to contribute, whether through manual work, creative ideas or simply by helping to carry and hold it. The construction of the raised bed was a real team success!
A raised bed comes to life
After the winter break, the time had finally come this spring: our raised bed was filled with fresh soil and prepared for planting. Thanks to a joint effort, the bed was filled with nutrient-rich soil and compost to create the ideal breeding ground for our plants.
First fruits: the planting
In spring, we planted various plants in our raised bed, including pumpkins and zucchinis. These plants have proven to be particularly robust and easy to care for, perfect for our team who can’t garden every day. We watched with excitement as the first shoots broke through the soil and developed into strong plants.
The reward for the work: a rich harvest in sight
Now, a few months later, we can literally see the fruits of our labor growing. The pumpkins and zucchinis are thriving and we are already looking forward to a rich harvest in the coming weeks. The idea behind our raised bed was not only to create a place for fresh air and relaxation but also to integrate nature into our everyday working life. We wanted to create something sustainable together.
We’re really proud of our raised bed. Big thanks to all the team members who helped make this project a success! It’s more than just a garden – it’s a symbol of our commitment to working together on sustainable projects. We are enjoying the fruits of our labor.
