BVMW Koblenz x W. R. Lang GmbH invite you to a company tour and keynote event.
Tradition obliges – and at the same time opens new paths. With the event format “Rethinking Wholesale”, BVMW Koblenz and W. R. Lang GmbH invite you on October 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to the premises of the family-owned company in Neuwied.
The focus will be on the question of how medium-sized companies can master the balancing act between tradition and innovation. A company tour will provide participants with exclusive insights into W. R. Lang GmbH’s diverse production processes and corporate culture. The program will be complemented by the keynote lecture: “Inspired by Yesterday, Made for Tomorrow – Living Progressive Wholesale.” The talk will show how change succeeds when impulses from the past are used to shape the future.
Dennis Feldmann, BVMW regional representative for Koblenz – Rhein-Lahn, Mayen-Koblenz, and Mittelrhein, emphasizes the relevance for SMEs:
“The German Mittelstand thrives on its ability to preserve tradition while boldly breaking new ground. With ‘Rethinking Wholesale,’ we have created a format that demonstrates how companies can successfully shape this transformation. Practical, inspiring, and highly relevant for the region.”
The Management
Laura Lang, managing director in the fifth generation since 2019, highlights the role of corporate values:
“For me, our history is both a foundation and a responsibility. We want to continue developing what generations before us have built and lead it into the future. It’s not just about structures and products, but also about corporate culture – shaped by mindfulness, openness, and the courage to try new things.”
Julian Lang, part of the management team since 2023 and project leader for process optimization, adds:
“I’m fascinated by how we can combine tradition and innovation in a family business. Digitalization, new workflows, and modern leadership are not opposites to craftsmanship and long-standing customer proximity – quite the opposite! They make us future-proof. For me, ‘Rethinking Wholesale’ is proof that transformation succeeds when it’s built on strong roots.”
